When you hear the word ‘lifeaholic’, I’m sure a number of other ‘holics’ come to mind- workaholic, chocoholic, movieholic, coffeeholic, moneyholic …
Well, a ‘Lifeaholic’ is simply ‘someone passionate about making the most of life’.
A Lifeaholic is a person who lives a life of purpose, passion and productivity. These three components are very important to the definition of who a Lifeaholic is. That’s because we know that it’s not just enough to have a life of purpose; our attitude matters and we have to be passionate about our life. Additionally, we need to be efficient and effective and we need to have the right results. That’s where the part of productivity comes in for a Lifeaholic.
These three components, important as they are, cannot stand on their own. They stand on a number of core values and I’ll mention a few of them here (feel free to adopt them for yourself):
- It is good to be honest in your dealings with other people, and I acknowledge that. But that is not the honesty we’re talking about here. You must be honest with yourself. You must know and understand your beliefs. We all evolve over time, and it’s important to understand the person we are becoming. A good place to start is by downloading the free guide on this site titled The PAID Workbook. It will guide you in taking the steps to understand yourself.
- Obviously, you must be ready to serve others. Life is a cycle and a life of purpose is always involved in doing something for others. When you serve others, even your own interests will be served in return.
- You don’t always have to be in a party, of course. However, you must know that it pays to have an easy-going life and demeanor and to enjoy yourself as much as it’s possible. It bears mentioning that this enjoyment is largely dependent on your attitude and not necessarily what you do or what other people do or do not do.
Living the lifeaholic life is not just advisable, it is also possible. You only need to desire it enough and be willing to do what it takes to make your life hum! Stick with me!
